I owe my ‘calling in life’ to my Guru, my Ishwar – the Aadarsh Tapasvi Pandit Jagannath Sharma. It is only thanks to his teachings, benevolence and the blessings of Maa Bhagwati that I became a Jyotshi.
He had predicted Republican candidate Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections of 2016. After his prophecy came true, he was featured in an article by the Washington Post in February 2017.
Prof. Vinod Shastri has distinguished himself for over 40 years as a premiere exponent of Vedic Astrology, Palmistry and Vaastu Shastra. Now retired, he was a passionate educator at the University of Rajasthan, specializing in Sanskrit. He is the author of over 25 books and his Raashiphal appears daily in India’s largest-circulated newspaper – Dainik Bhaskar. Many esteemed national politicians and international statespersons including the former presidents and prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Mauritius consult Prof. Shastri regularly. Renowned Bollywood personalities and illustrious Indian industrialists are avid patrons as well. He has been interviewed by the Lonely Planet, a Japanese magazine called Bazaar, the History Channel, Italian and Japanese TV channels and the U.K.’s Channel 4, did a half-hour documentary on him. He was a regular panelist on Astrological discussions on Aaj Tak for many years and also had a show – Jyotish Vishesh on ETV News (now CNN-News 18). Prof. Shastri consults in person in Jaipur and online as well via video-conferencing. As per the wish of his guru – Pandit Jagannath Sharma, he donates all the fees from his Astrological consultations to a variety of humanitarian, social and charitable causes. He is the general secretary of the Rajasthan Astrological Council and Research Institute. More than 40 students have studied for a PhD and another 60 have completed their M.Phils under his mentorship. He is also the founder of the Bharatiya Dev Nidhi Sanrakshan Trust and the secretary of the Vastsalya Sansthan.

Shastri Graduation and Phd
First during his Shastri graduation (now B.A.). He was the first PhD in Astrology in Rajasthan and is also the recipient of three Chancellor’s Medals from the Governor of Rajasthan.

As per the wish and directive of his guru – Pandit Jagannath Sharma, with utmost humility, Prof. Shastri donates all the fees from his Astrological consultations to a variety of humanitarian, social and charitable causes that he is associated with, and also for the promotion of Vedic Indian culture and heritage.
Rajasthan Astrological Council and Research Institute
He is the general secretary of the Rajasthan Astrological Council and Research Institute. Set up on a property granted by the Government of Rajasthan at a prime location near City Palace and the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, the institute houses more than 10,000 books. More than 40 students have studied for a PhD and another 60 have completed their M.Phils under his mentorship.
Bharatiya Dev Nidhi Sanrakshan Trust
Prof. Shastri is also the founder of the Bharatiya Dev Nidhi Sanrakshan Trust, which works towards promoting the values of Santanan Dharm and the universal qualities of the Indian culture while recognizing the significance and teachings of all other religions
Vastsalya Sansthan
He is the secretary of the Vastsalya Sansthan as well, an organization that works towards the development of the children of migrant and impoverished communities.
